Arlette Bartlett | Republican-American

BRISTOL – Arlette (Carrington) Bartlett, 77, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2021 at Waterbury Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Robert A. Bartlett.

Arlette was born February 13, 1944 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Arthur J. and Lynnette L. (Curtis) Carrington. Arlette worked as a snack bar and Spare Time Lounge manager at Lakewood Lanes in Waterbury, and before as an inspector at Ray’s Prime Screw in Watertown.

She quit work to raise her family as a proud housewife. She loved spending her summers with her husband Bob at Paradise Point Cottages in Errol, NH, where they fished and enjoyed the lake. She was a die-hard Elvis Presley fan and a skilled crocheter.

Arlette leaves to honor and cherish his memory two sons, Shane Bartlett and his wife Jennifer, of Wolcott, and Ken Huntley and his better half Karen Martin-Wilson, of Terryville; two grandchildren whom she loved and adored, Nicole Bartlett of Wolcott and Luke Huntley of Bristol; three sisters, Janet Valentine and her husband Jeff, of Middlebury, Lynne Johnson of St. Johnsbury, Vermont, and Donna Fellin and her husband Dan, of Prospect; and several nieces and nephews.

At Arlette’s request, all services are private and at the convenience of the family. Chase Parkway Memorial / Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, has been responsible for Arlette’s arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Arlette’s name can be made to her niece’s wildlife sanctuary whom she supported: Road to Refuge Animal Sanctuary, 135 Warner Road, North Haven, CT 06473.
