Clear Shelter highlight: Centerton Animal Shelter

CENTERTON, Ark. (KNWA / FOX24) – It’s time for the shelter to adopt pets and support local animal shelters.

The first local shelter to highlight is the Centerton Animal Shelter. Cody Wilson is the director of animal services at the shelter.

He said they saw an increase in intake over the summer. And while they’re not at full capacity at the moment, he hopes they can bring their furry friends to their “furry forever” homes.

“Our adoption rate has always been pretty high and continues to be,” he said. “We hope to put all of these dogs in very good homes. “

He said they are offering half the pet adoption fee, which includes spaying and neutering and a one-year rabies vaccine.

If you’re interested in adopting at the shelter, Wilson said to call them at 479-795-0078 or email them at [email protected]

The Clear the Shelters campaign also aims to support our shelters in other ways by donating food, cash and items like toys, blankets and cleaning supplies.

Clear the Shelters takes place from August 23 to September 19.
