Maclean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center Offers Advice

GREAT FALLS – The Maclean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center in Great Falls sees a lot of adoptions during the holiday season, which also means the center sees a lot of animals visiting as well.

Marketing director Misha John said it is always better for the animal to be abandoned than to be left in an environment where it cannot thrive.

“Whenever there is an increase in adoptions, we also see a slight increase in returns. And whenever a person’s situation changes, we’d rather have them bring the animal to us than keep them in a situation where they lack the resources to properly care for that animal. She said.

She encourages those who are considering adopting to plan for it and make sure their lifestyle matches the animal’s needs.

“If you are considering adopting, just be honest about your time and what you can really give this animal. We want every animal to find a home, but we also want it to be suitable for them.

It’s always heartwarming to see animals find their forever new homes, and the center has around 60 adoptable animals waiting to find theirs.

The facility is located at 900 25th Avenue NE in Great Falls. Click here to visit the site see adoptable cats and dogs.
