Aiken Women in Black and Moms Demand Action to organize vigil for peace and non-violence 4 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. on Monday The group gathers on Hitchcock Drive at the entrance to Aiken Estates, opposite the Fresh Market along Whiskey Road. Participants are encouraged to stay for the entire time or as long as they can. If you cannot stand, chairs are welcome. Witnesses against war and all forms of violence meet on the first and third Monday of the month and take place rain or shine and on public holidays. Everyone, including children and men, is welcome. Wagener-Salley High School, 272 Main Street South, Wagener, will be the host site July 20-22 for a volleyball camp for students – girls and boys – who are preparing to start grades two to six. Music in the park takes place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 22 at Maude Edenfield Park, 495 Brookside Ave., North Augusta. Double D will play. Those present should bring a chair or blanket. In the event of inclement weather, concerts will be held inside the North Augusta Community Center. The parks, recreation and tourism of the city of Aiken will organize registration for fall youth sports 2021 July 6-22 at Citizens Park, 651 Old Airport Road.
