UPAWS seeks to ’empty shelters’ with special adoption event


GWINN, Michigan – A state pet foundation partners with a local animal shelter for the national “Empty Shelters” event.

The BISSELL Pet Foundation and UPAWS are hosting their national summer 2021 Empty The Shelters adoption event which begins today and ends July 11.

The event helps pets find their forever homes with reduced adoption fees across the country.

“The shelters are filling up and we are really full of surrenders and vagrants. Events like this highlight our shelter needs and needs and allow animals to live in loving homes, ”said Ann Brownell, Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator for UPAWS. “We focus on adults. So adult dogs and adult cats, a year later. You are going to get a wonderful animal at a reduced price. So maybe you can afford to buy some extra gifts for animals or the like.

During the event, the adoption rates for dogs will be $ 25 and $ 5 for cats and little critters.

All animals come with their vaccines sterilized or sterilized, equipped with an electronic chip and a health check.
