Tuesday August 17, 2021 – As a follow-up to the inaugural Paws at the Park event held in May 2021 at Grange Park in Upper Macungie Township, the Western Lehigh Chamber is delighted to share the amount of funds raised for our local beneficiary, The Sanctuary in Haafsville. Thanks to our community, we were able to donate $ 1,488 to this local non-profit organization.
Haafsville Sanctuary is a haven for homeless cats and dogs. In their first 11 years, they rescued over 10,000 animals and placed them in âforeverâ loving homes! In 2020, they placed nearly 1,300 animals. They adhere to a No-Kill animal welfare philosophy, which means they don’t euthanize animals to create space. They partner with overcrowded shelters, they work with 14 municipalities in Lehigh County and 1 in Berks County to welcome stray dogs and cats, save dogs and cats from natural disasters, accept dogs and cats from owners who have to abandon them and work to place the animals in loving homes.

Haafsville Sanctuary is located at 901 Nestle Way, Breinigsville, PA 18031
